Could I possibly have fried the CPU or broken anything else by doing this? Is there anyone who knows a possible solution or do I have to wait another 3.5 weeks for another RMA to be able to use my computer? I tried clearing CMOS, updating the BIOS through BIOS flashback, switching the EPU and TPU functions on and off and made sure that all power connectors were connected properly but it still wouldn't post. When I turned it on afterwards the CPU_LED was shining red indicating something was wrong with the CPU and the system didn't post. The computer was totally unresponsive to me pressing mouse and keyboard buttons so I turned it off by holding down the power switch.

Since I couldn't close the game with alt+f4 or by right clicking the icon in the taskbar on my secondary monitor I accidently put the computer in sleep mode with the windows 8 menu in the side, I was supposed to click turn off but missclicked. I booted up a game and went into an ingame menu when my suddenly monitor went black except for the cursor which still was working and looked like the game's custom cursor. Today I got my new PSU, put it in the system and everything was working fine. I put a fan on top of the PSU and was able to use the computer for a couple of days during which I installed windows and played some games but most importantly confirmed that everything else worked as it was supposed to. The fan in the power supply was broken due to poor shipping material.
